The European classical technique of the
Meissen manufactures in Germany and Sevres in France is the
most well-known and common in Europe. The motifs of the decorations
are principally the so-called "Deutsche Blumen",
the naturalistic German flowers arranged, on the whiteness
of the porcelain, lonely or in structured compositions. Beside
the multicoloured or monochrome bouquets, subjects of the
classical painting are also the compositions of fruit and
flowers, landscapes, birds, copies of ancient Master's pictures,
garlands, flowers stylized and outlined to the eastern way
of the "Compagnie des Indes". The decorations stand
out for the rich finishing in mat gold. |
